I started Budai Labs because two ideas I'd been carrying for years needed a studio built specifically to make room for them, not a slot in someone else's roadmap.
I've spent two decades on production and engineering across some of the industry's largest studios, most recently leading the team that built the LEGO Brick Editor in UEFN in partnership with Epic Games. Before that, my path ran through Ubisoft, Microsoft, PopCap, and EA, across production, engineering, and platform work.
Budai Labs is small by design right now. I'm hands-on across both projects: writing C++ systems on one, building solo on the other. That's a deliberate choice while the studio finds its shape, not a permanent state.
